Most legal cannabis states, whether medical or recreational, require agent cards or at least background checks. Many states require an offer of employment letter in order to get the background check and/or agent card. In those states, Highlite Staffing requires that you submit your agent card application within 7 days of receiving your offer of employment letter. Most states require that employees receive education on state compliance, rules, regulations and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the first 7 days of employment or certification before employment. Because Highlite Staffing does not own any cannabis facilities and only sends its employees to work at facilities where we are contracted, we require that our staff either have a minimum of 3 months experience working in the industry, have an agent card or complete the state compliance certification before being considered for employment since we are unable to provide onsite training. We require that our staff meet state requirements to prevent liability on contracted work assignments. We accept this certification from all state approved responsible vendors but highly recommend Cannabis Community College for the easy "do at your own pace" program.
